This forum has all but died. Seems like everyone has gone to the OzBoatRacers.com forum.  I'll leave it here though, in case its needed sometime.   As for all the new members, they are 99% forum spammers, who have been able to register, but unable to break through the security that is set up on this forum for posting.

It is with much sadness that I inform you that NSW Patron/Life Member and National Patron/Life Member MR. KEITH SWIFT passed away over the weekend.   On behalf of the NSW Council I would like to extend it's condolences to the Swift Family.   Funeral Arrangements are not know at this time, but I will advise when they have been finalised.

This place has turbine power plants for race and pleasure use.   The pleasure boat one has a water jacketed exhaust, and yikes, your not going to fit this in a ski boat. I remember a deep V ski boat about 15 years ago with a turbine in it, out here too, still maybe the time has come.   Check out the "turbine packages" link to see the set ups. Race one is 1800 hp and the pleasure one is 1450 hp. According to the page a turbine powered boat won an Offshore world championship, om the USA, so perhaps not that many entries were from outside the USA.   The pic of the boat, sure looks like its hooting to me!   http://www.turbinemarine.com/index.html
